Overview

This Privacy Policy describes the information Go collects when you sign up for, use, access or otherwise interact with any Go applications, products, services, or websites (collectively, “Services”), how we use and share that information, and the choices we offer. This policy applies to all information we collect through our Services, even if you have not signed up for a Go account or downloaded one of our applications.

We may change this policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy and revising the “Updated” date above. If we materially change the ways in which we use or share personal information previously collected from you through the Services, we will notify you through the Services, by email, or other communication. We encourage you to review the policy whenever you use our Services to stay informed about our information practices and about the choices available to you.

Collection of Information

Information You Provide

We collect information you provide, such as when you sign up for a Go account or enter information to see if you could potentially save on insurance. We may collect, but are not limited to collecting, the following: your name, driver’s license information, date of birth, address other drivers you’d like to include, your spouse, email address, insurance provider, car years & makes, monthly payment, monthly miles, effective date, and expiration date of your current policy. 

When you make a payment on our Service, Stripe,  a third party service provider that handles payments for us will receive your payment information. 

If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you. For example, when you contact us for support, we may receive your name, email address, phone number, the contents of your message or attachments that you may send to us, and other information you choose to provide.

Information We Collect from Your Use of the Services

We collect information about you when you use our Services, including as follows:

Location Information. When one of our applications is open on your mobile device, we periodically receive information about the location of the device. We may also collect the precise location of your device when the app is running in the foreground or background. We use this information to provide navigation or help your tow truck driver reach you if you order a towing service with us. We also infer your more general location information (for example, your IP address may indicate your more general geographic region). 

Device Information. We collect device-specific information when you access our Services, including your hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, and information about the device’s interaction with our Services.

Usage Information. To help us understand how you use our Services and to help us improve them, we automatically receive information about your interactions with our Services, like the app screens or other content you view.

Information from Cookies and Similar Technologies. We and third party partners collect information using cookies, pixel tags, or similar technologies. Our third party partners, such as analytics partners, may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across different services. Cookies are small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to our Services.

For our website (not app), please review your web browser’s “Help” file to learn the proper way to modify your cookie settings. Please note that if you delete or choose not to accept cookies from the Service, you may not be able to utilize the features of the Service to their fullest potential.

Credit. Go only uses credit information in states where it is permitted by law. Credit-based insurance scores are based on information in your credit report. If Go obtains a credit-based insurance score as part of calculating your insurance quote, the inquiry is labeled as being from the insurance company. Insurance-related inquiries are not counted against your credit. If you obtain your credit report from one of the major credit bureaus, you will be able to see the inquiry. But it will not ever lower your score or impact your ability to obtain credit.

Use of Information

We use information about you to provide, maintain, and improve our Services and to deliver the information and support your requests, including your mileage, potential insurance savings, and your account information.

We also use information about you to improve and personalize the Services. To take just one example, when you use Go, we may associate certain information with your use of Go, such as the location of your drivers license zip code so you don’t have to type in your zip code by hand.

We may use information we collect to send you news and information about our Services and to communicate with you about products and services offered by us.

We may also use information about you to track and analyze trends and usage in connection with our Services; to protect our rights or property; to verify your identity; and for any other purpose disclosed to you in connection with our Services.

Your Services

Location Information

When you first launch our mobile applications, you will be asked to consent to the application’s collection of location information. We currently require this location information in order to provide our Services, so if you do not consent to this collection, you cannot use our Services. If you initially consent to our collection of location information, you can subsequently stop our collection of location information at any time by changing the preferences on your mobile device. If you do so, the Go application will no longer function well. You may also stop our collection of location information by following the standard uninstall process to remove Go applications from your device.

Preferences

Personal Information. You may change or correct information about yourself by logging into your Go account at any time or by emailing us at service@goclub.com. You may also email us if you wish to deactivate your account. We may retain archived copies of information about you for a period of time that is consistent with applicable law.
